Menu Planning Board

Ok so you can go buy or print a boring Menu Planning board but let's be serious those are not a HOT topic in your kitchen, When you are a hot mess the kids are going nuts and you gotta have dinner on the table. So let's create something you will wanna look at and have people say "Oh My you are so stinking creative!"
Supplies:
1. Sheet of card stock (.20) Make it a bright cheery color, something to match your kitchen
2. Frame, I used a 9x11 which is Ikea and got it for no more than $3.00! You can use whatever size you'd like just make sure everything will fit.
3. Lettering for the MENU,M,T,W,TH,F,SA,SU. You can use a Cricut or I just bought the stick on letters at Micheal's

DO IT!
First Outline the glass to your card stock then cut off the extra. Place in frame, Place letters and Voila! Just a little tip MAKE SURE YOUR LETTERS WILL FIT. I made that mistake and it is not fun to move the letters around. Preparing meals is such a great way to bring your family together and show your love, so prepare meals and ENJOY!
*Disclaimer I did get this "inspiration" from this lovely website: http://redefiningdomestic.blogspot.com/2011/01/weekly-meal-planner.html
** Also my pictures are of VERY poor quality right now due to our lovely Hayleigh throwing my camera in the tub so I am stuck with the webcam which is not great, I hope you still enjoy though!

Cute, cheap way to dress up a room!

Dress up a room with this quick simple idea. Surfing the wonderful internet I came across several ideas with this so I am not sure whom this idea belongs to, if it is you just email me and I will surely add your site to give credit. Anyways, let's get on with this AWESOME creativeness...
Supplies:
1. Scrapbook paper/cardstock
2. Mod Podge
3.Scissors and Pencil
4. Sponge brush
5. (optional) Clear coat of spray paint
6. "Clean" outlet cover

*First off, trace your outlet cover onto your cardstock. Including all the holes. Then cut out your outlines leaving 1/4 inch on the outer edges. Cut the inner holes for the switch, the cleaner the cut the better it'll look. Then just put small slits where the screws will go just as a marker.

*Add a thin layer of Mod Podge to the outlet cover, then to the paper and slowly stick together. Making sure there are no air bubbles.
*Then side by side add mod podge to the side and hold till dry and continue with each side until they are all sealed. Cut off any gapping paper. ( There will be paper left over on the edges, once it is ALL dry take a nail file or straight razor and trim the edges down, carefully.)
*Add a sealer coat of Mog Podge to the top and let dry for 5 mins. Then optionally and reccomended add the clear coat of spray paint. With the spray paint the covers will be easier to clean, whereas with the Mod Podge alone it will NOT clean well.
*Enjoy your beautiful covers and feel free to follow the steps to dress up your outlet covers as well!
