DIY: time out stool

So in our nw home I have had a  hard time with the "time out" spot. So as I was walking through Michael's NOT looking for a time out stool I came across this CUTE stool. I just felt it was "screaming" set your misbehaving children on me. So of course like all sane people I listened to the stool and proceded to purchase it. Took it home and this is what turned out.

 Supplies:
1. A stool
2. Modge Podge ( here is a great recipe for homemade: http://doityourselfdivas.blogspot.com/2011/09/diy-mod-podge.html )
3. Acrylic Paint, for lettering, I used black.
4. Letter stencil or Cricit.
5. Scrapbook cardstock, 1 sheet

Begin creativeness: Trace top of stool onto cardstock, then cut out. Next Modge Podge, the top of stool, then the back of the card stock and lay flat onto the top of the stool, Smoothing evenly ensuring there are no air bubbles. Next, seal the top with a thin coat of modge podge. After it has dried trace what you would like it to say.
Use the paint to go over the words you traced. Admire your skills. Lastly after it has dried COMPLETELY, 24 hrs, seal with a light coat of Modge Podge. Now explain to your little Angels how you NEVER want to have to use your beautiful creation.

About Me

I am Ashleigh! I have been married since February, 13th 2010. I am married to my best friend. We have three children Joshua, Hayleigh, and Matthew. I am so blessed to be able to share my stories of mommyhood. So far it has been a pretty easy journey, fingers crossed, I have yet to hit the teen years. I desire to inspire women on a journey through womanhood with a higher purpose. I find that purpose in Christ. I strive to be a Proverbs 31 wife, and mother. I LOVE being crafty, trying new things, cooking and learning. I so want to hear your stories and encouragement on how to keep a happy perspective through all the trials of being a wife and motherhood. Enjoy my journey.

The HUBBY:
This is my number 2 in life. We met my 1st year in College, and have been attached ever since. I love him so much it is unbelievable. We have been through so much in the journey of our marriage together and he has been such a faithful man of God. Jared is an AMAZING husband, father, and leader. We are so blessed to have him.

Joshua:
Joshua has been changing my life since 07'. He is such a fun little boy and a HUGE blessing in our lives. I couldn't imagine life without my little man. He was my only baby that didn't need coaxing to enter the world.

Hayleigh:
Our only girl. I can't even describe what this little girl means to me. I love her so much! She was our number two child so a difficult transition but I wouldn't change anything. She has a big attitude and know what she wants. She has mommy and daddy wrapped aroung her finger. I will never forget her labor, or I will, I was well, asleep as I delivered her. Easy labor? I'd say so. She was our "wedding" baby, born 36 days before our wedding. I know we did things a bit backwards. I will get to that story later.

Matthew:
This is our newest addition. He was born 1 year and 13 days after Hayleigh. He IS the HAPPIEST baby alive. I am not even sure what his cry sounds like, strange, i think so. But, don't tell him we like the smiles he blesses us with.

Well, that is the family! If you have any other questions, advice or anything send me an email ashleighturner37@yahoo.com. Thanks for reading and I look forward to posting some fun crafts, things kids enjoy, recipes, life lessons, and everything along the way!
